Chronixx announces Brooklyn's Venue for his highly anticipated return

Following the announcement of his highly anticipated return to Brooklyn for the first time since 2018, Reggae superstar Chronixx has revealed the venue for his upcoming concert, set to take place at the Brooklyn Armory at the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center on Wednesday, November 25.

Located in Crown Heights, the venue was originally built in 1903 as the Bedford Union Armory before being redeveloped into the Major R. Owens Health & Wellness Community Center. Named in honor of the late U.S. Representative Major R. Owens, who envisioned the armory as a community gathering place, the center now serves as a recreational and cultural space for Brooklyn residents.

The venue’s transformation provides a fitting backdrop for Chronixx’s music and its themes of family, spiritual upliftment and belonging. Through his Grammy-considered album Exile, the Jamaican singer explores connections to home and one's roots, themes that resonate deeply with diaspora communities who build lives abroad while maintaining strong ties to their homelands through family and culture.

The Brooklyn performance will bring those themes to life through roots reggae, creating a space for reflection, joy and shared experiences. Expressing his excitement for the show, Chronixx described the occasion as “another moment of transformation and celebration” with his NYC family, promising “real heartical roots music like we’ve never seen it before.”

Bobby Clarke, owner and CEO of Irie Jam Radio, which is collaborating on the concert, emphasized the significance of the event, stating: "This show signifies Irie Jams commitment to showcasing and uplifting our music and our culture at the highest level. Chronixx personifies this."
