Ahead of the carnival experience, Yard Mas shows its commitment to supporting Jamaican-owned businesses by signing Mother's as the official food partner for the 2024 edition

In its second year, Yard Mas Carnival persists in its quest to collaborate with authentic Jamaican brands for an enriched carnival road adventure. They sealed a partnership with Mother's Restaurant Group, a distinguished entity in Jamaican cuisine with over 42 years of legacy. This collaboration was solidified through a contract signing ceremony held at Mother's Cafe, located at the University Hospital of the West Indies, on March 27, 2024.
This collaboration signifies a significant milestone in celebrating Jamaican culture and cuisine amidst the lively atmosphere of soca music. Both parties are enthusiastic about providing masqueraders with top-notch dining experiences, beginning with breakfast and mimosas to kickstart the festivities before taking to the road.
Shardane Simmonds, Marketing Manager of Mother's Restaurant Group highlighted the respect shown by Yard Mas in incorporating local brands into the carnival movement. "As official food sponsors of Yard Mas Carnival, the partnership is a solid one based on the respect that Yard Mas has shown in including local brands in the carnival movement through their band offerings. Mother's will be showcasing all elements of our brand from the Mother's Café, to the Mother’s Bakery, the Devon House Bakery and the Pimentos Restaurant. Through this engagement with Yard Mas we will take further steps to proliferate the Jamaican Culinary experience globally", she expressed.
Masqueraders can look forward to a diverse array of food options, including salads, pastries, soups, and snacks, provided by Mother’s M Catering arm in an air-conditioned location to be announced soon by Yard Mas.
