Soca stars Nailah Blackman, Patrice Roberts, and Lyrikal jump on the viral beat after producer Aicon was tapped to help drive the expansion

WYFL Riddim evolves into Soca version

As DJ Mac and Crash Dummy’s WYFL riddim continues to captivate the dancehall landscape and beyond, the viral beat is now expanding regionally, with more soca artistes jumping on the wave.

Soca princess Nailah Blackman leads the charge with her latest single “Bombshell,” which debuted in the Top 10 on the iTunes Reggae Songs chart. Fellow soca star Patrice Roberts also makes her mark with “Bad So,” while Lyrikal joins forces with rising soca sensation Yung Bredda for “Who Badda” - all contributing to the riddim’s growing regional impact.

DJ Mac also tapped producer Aicon to handle A&R for this expansion, helping to bridge the dancehall and soca scenes. “Him a seh a soca him a guh now wid di beat - WYFL soca version,” he shared. “Di g knows mi link and produce soca artistes regularly, and a suh mi link di artistes,” he explained.

Music producer Christopher Levy, widely known for his work with dancehall star Aidonia - including crafting signature ad-libs during live performances - adds another layer to the project. With a track record spanning genres like Amapiano and Afrobeats, his involvement further highlights the riddim’s cross-genre appeal and global direction.

The WYFL riddim, which began with Skippa’s track of the same name, has since evolved into a multi-genre movement - bridging old-school acts with the new generation while extending its reach across Africa, the UK, Europe, and beyond, with a growing list of international voices.

Most recently, New York rapper Fabolous delivered his “Brooklyn Badness” take on the riddim, adding a hip-hop edge to the wave. The momentum has not gone unnoticed, with The Joe Budden Podcast - one of the most talked-about platforms in hip-hop culture - recently giving the riddim a notable shoutout, further amplifying its global impact.

Hey, I found this while going through a newsletter about medical topics that pop up less often in everyday conversations. In the middle of the email, I noticed https://ways2well.com/blog/what-is-plasmapheresis-a-complete-guide-for-beginners and decided to read it. The explanation about plasma carrying different substances in the body really stood out to me. It made the whole idea of the procedure feel more logical, and I appreciated that it didn’t try to simplify things too much or overcomplicate them.
