Supa Dups Praises Shenseea as “The Biggest Standout Star of This Era”

Exclusive: Grammy-winning Jamaican producer Supa Dups, who served as an executive producer for Shenseea following her signing with Columbia Records and Since ’93, praises her work ethic and talent as their creative partnership continues with new single “Brucksweat.”

Jamaican record producer, selector and Black Chiney co-founder Supa Dups has worked with some of the biggest names in the global music industry, building an impressive résumé that includes collaborations with superstars such as Eminem, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Mary J. Blige and John Legend, to name a few.
Supa Dups has also worked closely with Shenseea, serving as an executive producer following her signing with Columbia Records and Since ’93. Their creative relationship continues, with Supa Dups recently producing the Jamaican superstar’s new single, “Brucksweat.”
During an exclusive conversation with Kaboom Magazine, Supa Dups had high praise for Shenseea, calling her “the biggest standout star of this era.”
“To me, Shenseea is the biggest standout star of this era. No disrespect to anyone else, that’s just my opinion. She’s a star,” Supa Dups told Kaboom Magazine. “Her work ethic is second to none. She’s always working, always thinking, and her talent is beyond belief.”
Beyond Shenseea, Supa Dups, whose given name is Dwayne Chin-Quee, also expressed his excitement about the current direction of dancehall, naming Masicka, Valiant, Teejay and Chronic Law among the newer-generation artistes who have impressed him.
Shenseea signed a major record deal with UK-based label Since ’93, in partnership with Columbia Records, in October 2025. Founded by British music executive and entrepreneur Riki Bleau, Since ’93 has become one of the UK’s leading Black-owned record labels. Shenseea marked the beginning of her new chapter with the release of “Boss Up,” her first single under the deal. Bleau, the label’s founder and co-president, previously described working with the Jamaican superstar as a “full-circle moment.”
