Vybz Kartel Sets Reggae Land Headliner Record With 50,000 Crowd

The dancehall superstar closed the festival’s first-ever three-day edition, which attracted more than 135,000 patrons, according to official figures provided by organisers. More than 45,000 tickets have already been sold for the next edition

Reggae Land delivered the biggest weekend in its history, with more than 135,000 people descending on Milton Keynes across three days for the sold-out sixth edition of the UK festival, according to figures provided by organisers.

At the centre of the historic weekend was dancehall phenom Vybz Kartel, who made his long-awaited Reggae Land debut by closing the festival on Sunday in front of 50,000 people - the biggest audience ever assembled for a headline performance at the festival.

Kartel delivered a massive 90-minute set at The National Bowl, with Shenseea joining him on stage for “Talk To Me Nuh” and “Panic.” The night also produced a personal moment when the dancehall superstar brought his fiancée, Sidem Öztürk, on stage as the couple revealed they are expecting their first child together.

The record-breaking finale capped Reggae Land’s first-ever three-day staging. Burna Boy headlined the inaugural standalone Friday concert in front of 35,000 fans, with Masicka, Christopher Martin and Julian Marley & The Uprising also performing.

Saturday saw Beenie Man and Morgan Heritage premiere their collaborative The King & The Royals set, which included a tribute to late Morgan Heritage lead singer Peter “Peetah” Morgan, with Jemere Morgan now fronting the group.

The expansion followed unprecedented demand, with the original Saturday and Sunday dates becoming Reggae Land’s fastest-ever sell-out before organisers added Friday. Across the weekend, more than 120 artistes performed on seven stages, including two new stages introduced for 2026.

According to a statement from organisers, the “gamble on going bigger paid off spectacularly,” as Reggae Land expanded both its footprint and musical reach for its sixth edition.

More than 70,000 people have already signed up for the next edition, with over 45,000 tickets already sold. VIP, First Release, Second Release, Third Release, and Fourth Release tickets are already Sold Out, almost a full year before the festival takes place.
