Worl’ Boss confirms back-to-back London shows
Dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel's global takeover is unstoppable. Following the confirmation of his world tour, Live Nation UK has announced an additional date at London’s O2 Arena, set for September 5, meaning the dancehall icon will perform back-to-back nights after his September 4 appearance at the 20,000-capacity venue, which is expected to sell out.
“No one else in dancehall can do this, especially not in the UK. He’s the Worl’ Boss for a reason,” said an inside source at Live Nation UK.
As part of his global tour announced earlier this week, Vybz Kartel is also scheduled to perform at Manchester’s Co-op Live, with a capacity of over 20,500, on September 10, and in Birmingham at Marston Green on September 19.
After three sold-out shows so far this year, Kartel will perform at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on June 6, and at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in New Jersey on June 14.
The "Fever" deejay will kick off his European leg at Summerjam in Cologne, Germany. Additional stops include Amsterdam on July 7, the renowned Accor Arena in Paris on July 10, and his own Freedom Street Festival in Malta from September 11–14.
In between, likely living between flights, Kartel is also set to return to Reggae Sumfest at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay on July 18 for the first time in over 14 years. He’s also scheduled to perform in Baltimore on Saturday, July 26. Later this year, he is reportedly set to embark on an Africa tour.
