Vybz Kartel Celebrates Freedom with Powerful New Single “Victory”

Dancehall phenom Vybz Kartel drops a powerful new single, “Victory,” reflecting his long-awaited return to his hometown of Portmore, his first visit back to the community since his release last year.

The track, produced by Juju Romillion and his son’s label Aiko Pon The Beat, arrives with an accompanying visual directed by acclaimed filmmaker Shane Creative. Shot in Portmore, the video captures a historic moment, with supporters flooding the area to witness the Worl’ Boss’s return. The single has climbed to #1 on the U.S. iTunes Singles Chart.

Commanding the track, Kartel delivers the chorus, “Victory, from poverty to big dreams,” declaring his triumph and journey.

The release carries added weight, coming on the heels of the freedom of his longtime friend and co-convicted Kahira “Kyro” Jones, completing what many are calling a full-circle victory for Kartel.

Jones was among four men convicted in 2014 for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, alongside Kartel, Shawn Storm, and Andre St John.

“Victory” continues Kartel’s run of spiritually driven releases since his return, following tracks like “God Is The Greatest,” which has already amassed over 32 million views to date.
