Veteran producer Markland of Music House Entertainment continues to make strides in the ever-evolving Jamaican music scene, moving seamlessly from one milestone to the next.

Following the release of Caution Riddim—a roots reggae project infused with the golden-era spirit of the late '90s and early 2000s, and featuring veterans like Ginjah, Turbulence, Delly Ranx, and Droop Lion—Markland is eager to keep the momentum going. The project has been receiving strong support from DJs, and he looks forward to continuing with music that highlights social issues and current topics.

"Authenticity in music is significantly important," shared the producer, whose given name is Markland Raymond. "Not only does it foster relationships with other artists and fans, but it also maintains our cultural heritage. Music is a powerful tool that raises awareness and inspires people daily. Preserving its authenticity has always been my priority."

With over a decade of experience working with icons like Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, Busy Signal, Buju Banton, Sizzla, and Capleton, Markland continues to push forward in the highly demanding music industry, always driven by a commitment to excellence and authenticity.

"I’ve stayed focused, and I want to create real impact this year"

Markland is currently working on two new projects—Safety, a roots reggae riddim, and Symphony, a dancehall riddim—both set for release soon and expected to feature several dancehall heavyweights.

“In this thing called Jamaican music, you just can’t ease off—you can’t take your foot off the gas,” he shared. “I’ve stayed focused, and I want to create real impact this year,” he added, looking ahead to the upcoming releases.
