The collaboration accompined with a visually captivating music video that immerses all four creatives into a world reflecting Bashment Sound’s signature high-energy, pulsing sound. It balances gritty textures with sleek choreography, perfectly complementing the track’s infectious rhythm.
“Bringing Rema and Skillibeng together on ‘Ballerina’ is a real blessing - not to mention this is the first time these two are on a record together,” said Disco Neil. “This song marks a major moment for Bashment Records and for me and Silent Addy as a team. We were intentional about every detail - the sound, the vibe, the direction - and you can hear that from the first beat. It’s one of those records that connects instantly. “Ballerina” signals a bold new chapter in dancehall’s evolution, spotlighting the growing influence of Shatta Dancehall. With its infectious rhythms and cross-cultural reach, the subgenre continues to push dancehall beyond its Caribbean roots and onto the global stage. Bashment Sound has positioned itself at the forefront of that movement through strategic collaborations and forward-thinking curation.
“I’m really excited about this release. I’ve long been a fan of both Rema and Skillibeng, so hearing their voices come alive on this track was a powerful moment,” added the other half of the duo, Silent Addy. “Disco Neil and I wanted to create something that feels global but remains rooted in bashment. It’s going to be a fan favorite, especially for people who love to dance and have a good time.”
The single marks the duo’s second major collaboration alongside Skillibeng, following the colossal global hit “Shake It to the Max (Fly) (Remix)” featuring MOLIY and Shenseea - one of 2025’s biggest records. The track surpassed 1 billion streams worldwide and was recently certified Gold in the United States by the RIAA after moving over 500,000 units.
Skillibeng continues to expand his international catalogue, with notable collaborations including “Jump” alongside Tyla and Gunna, and “Getting Paid” featuring Sarz, Asake and Wizkid, as he looks to replicate the undeniable success of his previous smash with Bashment Sound.
