Skillibeng scores 3 Grammy considerations
Dancehall star Skillibeng continues to ride the wave of success from his International EP, which is now officially under Grammy consideration for the Best Reggae Album category. The first round of voting is open until October 15, with nominees set to be announced on November 7.
The Crocodile Teeth deejay has also earned two additional submissions for his feature on Moliy’s global smash “Shake It To The Max” alongside Shenseea, which has been entered for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year categories.
International boasts standout tracks such as “Dada”, and major collaborations like “Too Hot” featuring Moliy and “Anywhere” with Ty Dolla $ign and Major Lazer. Skillibeng recently extended the project’s momentum with a viral remix of “New Gears”, featuring Vybz Kartel, which samples Françoise Hardy’s 1965 classic “Mon Amie La Rose.”
Meanwhile, his collaboration “Getting Paid” with Sarz, Asake, and Wizkid has debuted at #1 on the UK Official Afrobeats Chart.
