Dancehall superstar Shenseea's dynamic collaboration, "Work Me Out," featuring Nigerian Afrobeats singer Wizkid, has been nominated for “Best Continental International Feature” at the Africa Arts Entertainment Awards (AAEA). This recognition highlights the track's immense impact and the synergy between the Jamaican dancehall star and the Nigerian Afrobeats sensation.
The single was officially released on Shenseea's sophomore album, "Never Gets Late Here," on May 24. According to rumors, the official music video was recently shot in London.
Other nominees in this category include Davido's "Unavailable" remix featuring Sean Paul & Ding Dong ft. Musa Keys, which has amassed 3.6 million views to date. Additionally, Haitian American star Fridayy's "Blessings" featuring Afrobeat star Asake, is also in the running.
Wizkid has been nominated in seven categories at the AAEA, including Best Continental Male Artiste and Continental Artiste of the Year. His project ‘S2’ is nominated for Continental Album/EP of the Year, along with honors for his collaborations and singles. He will also compete for Best Continental International Feature for "Work Me Out," Best Continental Afro RnB Hit for "Money & Love," Best Continental Afro Rap Fusion Hit for "IDK," and Best Continental Afro RnB Hit for "Ebelebe."
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, on August 17, 2024, and aims to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of African music stars.
