Rising dancehall star, Skeng, stormed onto the scene at the end of 2020 with hits like 'Brrp' and 'Street Cred', Which immediately turned him the potential to play a big role in the dancehall industry. We take a closer look at his story so far.
Kevaughn Douglas more popularly as Skeng, Born 22 Years-Ago in Kingston, Jamaica, has come flying out the blocks for Craig Town. The Dancehall artiste spent most of his formative years in Spanish Town where various mentors soon recognized his rare potential. His subsequent development speaks for itself.

He moved between different schools, but always wanted to be in the entertainment world and as a teenager decided to take things seriously. with the influences of Vybz Kartel and also Mavado, he started singing freestyles which then pushed him forward into the studio.
The talent was there and so were his friends. 'Di Truth Records' and his childhood friend-producer, John Coop, were the ones who accompanied him at the beginning of the breakout and are responsible for his first big releases.
It was his infectious hit 'Gunman Shift' that built his name on the streets, played endlessly all over the Caribbean and the US, and has so far racked up 35 million views just on YouTube alone. The rest is history.
The Deejay 2022's was a huge success while he juggled between Badman and girls songs. his biggest collaboration hit, 'Protocol' featuring Tommy Lee Sparta, almost reached 50 million views on YouTube while he dropped other hit songs such as 'London', 'Vibes', 'Heaven Passport', 'Life Changes', and more routinely.
He also showed his versatility with some hits for the ladies such as 'Curves', 'Talibhan' (Featuring Stalk Ashley), and get dizzying success with his hit, 'Likkle Miss' which get him the attention of the international RNB singer, Nicki Minaj, that later they teamed up for a remix.
The Ratty Gang deejay’s place in Dancehall was surely secured when he linked with the renowned producer Rvssian who played a significant part in the production of Skeng's debut EP, 'Beast Of The Era'. they both collaborated on other songs such as 'Switch', and more.
