The Jamaica Reggae Boyz have been drawn against Oceania playoff runners-up New Caledonia in the inter-confederation playoff semifinal.

A win would send them into the final of their path, where African playoff winner the Democratic Republic of Congo, arguably the toughest opponent in the bracket, awaits in the decisive match for the last 2026 FIFA World Cup spot. A victory over DR Congo would secure qualification to the tournament next summer in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The second path semifinal will match Bolivia vs Suriname, with the winner advancing to face Iraq in the final.

The playoff will be played at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara and Estadio BBVA in Monterrey in March 2026, with the winners of both paths claiming the final tickets to the World Cup.
