Florida-based producer RichkidTheDJ has joined forces with Cali Fr and Brandon Edie for “GLU (Sunday),” a track that continues to resonate with listeners both locally and abroad. Now available on all major platforms, the single embodies his vision of fusing dancehall with modern global influences.

Released in February, “GLU (Sunday)” captures a laid-back yet vibrant energy, weaving pulsing dancehall rhythms with melodic textures and international sounds. “When we made GLU (Sunday), we wanted it to feel timeless, not just a momentary drop. It’s the kind of track you can return to, whether you’re cooling on a Sunday or turning up on a Friday night,” Richkid shared.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and raised between the island and South Florida, RichkidTheDJ has steadily carved out his identity as a producer. Known for his genre-bending style and beats that transcend borders, he is part of a new generation shaping the future of Caribbean music.

He has collaborated with rising talents like Roze Don and Arqane and aspires to work with some of the industry’s biggest names. “I fly to the island frequently, soaking up the vibes that inspire me, while connecting with upcoming artists as well as more established ones,” he explained, noting that artists such as Skippa, Skillibeng, Nemzzz, Kyraxx, Najeeriii, and Areakode, along with producers like Iotosh, Rvssian, DJ Mac, isthatcarter, and Mxssivh, are among those he hopes to collaborate with in the future.

As GLU (Sunday) strikes a balance between dancehall roots and a fresh, experimental edge, RichkidTheDJ promises more music on the way.
