Seasoned producer Markland of Music House Entertainment drops his "Caution Riddim" — a roots reggae project steeped in the golden-era spirit of the late '90s and early 2000s. Featuring a lineup of veteran artists like Ginjah, Turbulence, Delly Ranx, and more, the project fuses nostalgic vibes with a modern sonic touch, powered by a live band riddim.
"My vision is to curate powerful projects that bring together legendary artists, emerging voices, and authentic riddims," Markland shared.
Despite facing challenges connecting with some artists through intermediaries, Markland remained true to his vision. The result is a soulful, unifying body of work designed to reignite cultural pride and reaffirm roots reggae’s enduring relevance within the global dancehall landscape.
With a sharp ear for talent, a keen executive vision, and a deep-rooted connection to Jamaica’s rich reggae and dancehall culture, Markland has spent over a decade immersed in the music scene, working with top names such as Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Lady Saw, Busy Signal, Buju Banton, Sizzla, Capleton, and many more. He has played a pivotal role in both preserving the essence of reggae and dancehall and pushing their evolution for future generations.
Looking ahead, Markland remains committed to building on his legacy of producing impactful music while paving the way for new waves of artists and creatives.
"We've experienced changes in the music landscape, so adjustments had to be made. But I've stayed focused on my authenticity and I'm ready to evolve — blending the energy of both young and seasoned artists into one movement," he noted.
