Multi-talented Jamaican entertainer Prettii Prettii has partnered with Showtime Services to launch the “Prettii Prettii Foundation,” a philanthropic initiative aimed at empowering young girls through confidence-building and improved access to personal hygiene resources.
Founded by popular dancer-turned-artist Tashlieka Laird, popularly known as Prettii Prettii, the foundation seeks to support young women by addressing critical issues such as period poverty and the shortage of sanitary products across Jamaica.
To commemorate the launch and celebrate Jamaica’s National Girls Day, Prettii Prettii made a surprise visit to her alma mater, Excelsior High School, where she distributed 100 care packages, delivered a motivational speech to the female students, and engaged in private conversations to answer their questions.
“I am incredibly passionate about empowering young girls to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin,” said Laird. “Through this foundation, I hope to make a tangible difference in the lives of girls across Jamaica, starting with my roots at Excelsior High School.”
The event was a success, and Prettii Prettii looks forward to visiting more schools and participating in future events related to the cause.
