International dancehall superstar Popcaan is set to reclaim the airwaves with his new single, “Life Still A Gwaan,” produced by hitmaking powerhouse producer Damage Musiq.

“Life Still A Gwaan” delivers a powerful message of resilience and perseverance, echoing the reality that no matter the obstacles or critics, the journey continues. To capture that authentic spirit, the official visual was shot on location in St. Thomas, offering a gritty yet scenic backdrop that mirrors the song’s emotional depth.

“This song is about the fact that no matter what you may be facing, you must never give up. You have to prove them wrong and keep fighting, because there are always people who would love to see you fail. ‘Life Still A Gwaan’ is a powerful Jamaican expression that acknowledges hardship, but insists that life continues and triumphs, no matter what,” said Damage Musiq, whose given name is Dwayne Parkinson

The release marks another chapter in a prolific partnership that has consistently delivered hits. “Life Still A Gwaan” follows the success of their previous collaborations, including “Immortal Life,” a leading track from Popcaan’s album Nothing Without God, and the 2026 release “Billionaire Status.”

Since emerging in 2013, Damage Musiq has built an impressive catalogue, highlighted by hits like Tommy Lee Sparta’s “Blessing” on the Conquest Paradise riddim, which has surpassed 53 million views, and Teejay’s “Rags to Riches,” which has amassed over 108 million views across all versions, with the official video alone accounting for more than 95 million views.
