Patra Cosigns Lila Iké’s “Romantic” Revival Featuring Masicka

Reggae princess Lila Iké teases her upcoming collaboration “Romantic” featuring dancehall superstar Masicka, a fresh revamp of Patra’s Billboard Hot 100 hit “Romantic Call.”

Iconic dancehall artist Patra has publicly co-signed the remake, sharing a clip of Lila teasing the track and asking fans if they recognized the classic. “Nuff love and respect to mi links. Yuh got this!” she wrote, giving her full approval.

The teaser arrives just days after Protoje, one of the producers on Iké’s long-awaited debut album, confirmed the project is complete. “Romantic” marks the second collaboration between Iké and Masicka, following their standout track “Triumph” with Chronic Law on Masicka’s G.O.K album.

This isn’t the first time Patra’s classic, which peaked at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #21 on the U.S. Dance Chart, has inspired a remake. Spice’s 2018 track “Romantic Mood” paid tribute to dancehall’s pioneering women, including Sister Nancy, Patra, Dawn Penn, Lady Ann, and others.
