Masicka Hits #1 on iTunes Jamaica; Rvssian Teases More from ‘Story Book’ Riddim

Jamaican super-producer Tarik “Rvssian” Johnston proves once again he doesn’t play games with his latest juggling project “Story Book,” which is quickly taking over the summer charts and setting the tone for dancehall's seasonal soundtrack.

The project launched with the seductive title track “Story Book” by dancehall icon Vybz Kartel, now sitting at #5 on YouTube’s trending chart in Jamaica with over 1.3 million views. Masicka’s “Rich Sex” is making major waves, currently holding the #1 spot on Apple Music’s Top 25 Jamaica playlist. Najeeriii’s “Cloud 9” has soared to #10 on YouTube, while Valiant’s “Passenger Princess” rides steady at #21.

Also featured is rising talent Whispa with his heartfelt track “Love Story!” Rvssian has hinted at more additions to the juggling, teasing fans on Twitter with the question: "Story Book Riddim, uno ready for more songs?"

Among the upcoming releases is a highly anticipated single from Skippa, following a public fallout last year that now seems to be resolved. Jah Vinci is also expected to release his own contribution.
