Malie Donn Announces Debut Album The Golden Child Release Date and Tracklist

The 20-track project, slated for release on July 26, features a tribute to Squash, while London’s Indigo at The O2 nears sellout as “Van Cleef” currently holds the #1 trending video in Jamaica

Dancehall artiste Malie Donn has officially announced the release of his highly anticipated debut album, The Golden Child, which is slated to arrive on July 26 this summer. Along with the announcement, the deejay also revealed the tracklist for the 20-track project, further building anticipation among fans.

The album is expected to feature his previously released single “Holiday” and includes a tribute to Squash, who is currently in custody, on the track “Free 6ix Boss” featuring Byron Messia. The project will also feature collaborations with emerging acts Antuwang and Javo Donn, both of whom have been among Malie Donn’s close collaborators in recent years.

Production on the album comes from a lineup including Attomatic Records and Dansky Records, who both serve as executive producers, alongside Din Din of Hemton Music, DJ Frass, Billboard producer Mxssivh, Salkey Records, and more. The project is set to be distributed by VP Records as the artiste continues to expand his international reach.

As the rollout continues, Malie Donn is also preparing to return to London for a performance at Indigo at The O2 on September 5. The 2,700-capacity event has already sold over 85% of tickets, with only a limited number remaining.

The body of work follows his 2024 10-track project The Grand Rising and arrives during one of the strongest periods of the artiste’s career so far.

His growing catalogue, including songs such as “V6,” “Addios,” “Body Tea,” and “8:00 PM,” has continued to strengthen his position in dancehall while showcasing his versatility and authentic sound. Meanwhile, his recent release “Van Cleef” has already been making waves across streaming platforms, currently sitting at #4 on the Apple Music Jamaica chart while also holding the #1 spot on YouTube Trending in Jamaica.
