Leon Bailey Is On The Verge Of Signing A Contract Extension With Aston Villa

According to reports by renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jamaican international star, Leon Bailey, is on the verge of signing a contract extension with The English top flight club Aston Villa. It's understood that both parties have verbally agreed to the terms of the new deal, which is expected to keep Bailey at Villa until 2027.

The contract extension for Bailey underscores the club's confidence in his talents and potential. Villa's manager, Unai Emery, commented on Bailey's contract extension, stating, "His way here, his skills, scoring goals, assists, improves. We decided more or less one month ago to extend his contract. We had to be very demanding with the players and if they want to increase their level and their demands like the team is doing, then it has to change.

"We spoke to him, he is happy here, happy in Birmingham and Aston Villa. He is working progressively better. The idea is for him to extend the contract and we are close. I think he is going to signing," Emery added.

The Jamaican winger is enjoying a standout season with his team, currently sitting in 4th place in the English Premier League. He has scored 7 goals in the Premier League so far and 10 across all competitions for Aston Villa. These performances are crucial as the Villans strive to secure a coveted spot in the Champions League.

The Jamaican national team player joined Aston Villa in 2021 after spending four seasons with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.
