Ms. Lauryn Hill to share stage again with Wyclef Jean at Diaspora Calling! UK
Legendary singer Ms. Lauryn Hill and fellow Fugees member Wyclef Jean are set to headline the inaugural UK edition of Diaspora Calling! festival, taking place on Saturday, August 7, at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in England.
Joining them on the lineup are Hill's son, reggae sensation YG Marley, and his brother Zion Marley, both grandsons of reggae legend Bob Marley, bringing another generation of the iconic Marley musical legacy to the stage.
Originally launched by Lauryn Hill in 2016 as a Brooklyn-based celebration of Haitian art and music, Diaspora Calling! has since grown into a global platform spotlighting African diaspora culture through live events featuring artists such as Nas, Noname, Lil Simz, and Kehlani. This year's event marks the festival's UK debut.
The show will also be the first time Hill and Wyclef Jean have performed together since the cancellation of their planned anniversary tour celebrating The Score and The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Their last joint appearance came at New York's Global Citizen Festival in 2023.
Earlier this year, Hill received the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award at the 2026 BET Awards, where an all-star tribute featuring SZA, Doechii, Tems, Doja Cat, Nas, Lizzo, YG Marley, Zion Marley, Queen Latifah, and Common celebrated her enduring influence on music and Black culture.
