Ky-Mani Marley sets August 28 release for long-awaited Love & Energy Album
Grammy-nominated Jamaican artiste Ky-Mani Marley announces August 28 as the official release date for his long-awaited eighth studio album, Love & Energy, marking his first full-length album in 10 years.
Ky-Mani also unveiled the complete tracklist for the 16-track project, which includes the previously released “All This Love,” Jamaican chart-topping single “New Creature,” and the title track, featuring Iba Mahr and Lutan Fyah.
Among the standout collaborations are “War Inna Babylon,” featuring Sizzla, Gyptian and Agent Sasco, and “One Family” with Bugle, while the son of reggae icon Bob Marley has assembled a powerhouse lineup of reggae veterans including Anthony B, and Andrew Tosh.
“Love & Energy isn't just an album title. It's a way of life. Everything in this world is driven by energy, and love is the highest vibration we can give and receive,” Ky-Mani shared.
The announcement follows Ky-Mani’s recently completed European leg of the Love & Energy Tour, where he gave fans a taste of the upcoming album. During his appearance at the historic 40th staging of Summerjam Festival in Cologne, Germany, he performed the unreleased “A Little Bit (I’m Okay),” offering audiences another preview of what is to come.
Ky-Mani’s next major stop will be Toronto on August 22 for a special performance at the Marley family’s signature Kaya Fest, where he will join his brothers Stephen, Julian and Damian Marley on a star-studded lineup that also features Busta Rhymes, Shabba Ranks and Lila Iké.
