Kingston Pirates Week 2025 to celebrate heritage with a modern twist
With a week of celebration in its sights, Kingston Pirates Week 2025 sets sail from October 29 to November 2, bringing together a mix of entertainment, history, and community spirit. The week-long festival promises something for everyone, exploring Jamaica’s capital and honoring the rich maritime legacy of Port Royal, once dubbed the “Wickedest City on Earth” and now recognized by UNESCO as a National Heritage Site.
The highlight of Kingston Pirates Week 2025 is the Port Royal Pirates & Seafood Festival, set for Sunday, November 2, at the Historic Naval Dockyard. This vent will transform the Port Royal Cruise Ship Port into a lively coastal carnival with live performances, seafood delights, rides, and cultural showcases.
“Kingston Pirates Week offers something for everyone - from the high-energy parties to the family-friendly activities and the community-driven experiences that connect us to our roots,” said Peter Shoucair, J.P., Event Promoter. “The week’s diversity reflects Kingston’s energy and creativity, and the Port Royal Pirates & Seafood Festival is where it all comes together - an event for families, food lovers, and fun seekers to enjoy a world-class experience right here in Jamaica.”
Beyond the main festival, Kingston Pirates Week 2025 unleashes a wave of thrilling events that capture the energy and soul of the city. From SupaHeavy Pirates Night at Janga’s Sound Bar & Grill, which includes a costume party with live performances, to Riddims & Rum: A Pirate Merritone Fête, where music, rum, and revelry collide, the celebration promises nonstop vibes.
The Port Royal Street Dance brings the block-party spirit alive with residents, while Pirates & Wenches 4D Edition delivers an adults-only spectacle spanning four decades of music and entertainment. Adding purpose to the fun, the week also features community-driven events like the Pirates Ride Jamaica cycling challenge and the Pirates Beach Clean-Up, promoting unity, wellness, and giving back to the island.
Each event anchors the festival’s core mission - to revive the spirit of Port Royal’s storied past while celebrating Kingston as the cultural and entertainment heartbeat of the Caribbean.
