Mavado Set for First Toronto Performance in 9 Years at Scotiabank Arena

The Gully Gad returns to Canada for the first time since 2017, fresh from his historic Gaza vs Gully reunion with Vybz Kartel

Dancehall superstar Mavado is set to make his long-awaited return to Toronto after nine years, taking the stage at the iconic Scotiabank Arena for the first time on November 5.

The upcoming performance will mark the Gully Gad’s first appearance in Canada since 2017, when he performed at Alkaline’s New Rules concert.

The announcement comes amid a remarkable run for Mavado, following his historic Gaza vs Gully reunion with Vybz Kartel at Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica in July, where the former rivals shared the stage in a landmark moment for Dancehall.

The pair recently took their reunion overseas for the first time, headlining London’s iconic O2 Arena before sharing the stage for two consecutive nights at Freedom Street Europe in Malta.

Now, Mavado is bringing that momentum to Canada, marking another major milestone in his international career.

He follows fellow Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel, who made history with three consecutive sold-out shows at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on October 26, 27 and 30, 2025.

Reggae icon Buju Banton also performed at the venue in October 2024, drawing a sold-out crowd of more than 17,000 fans during his Overcomer Tour.

With the former rivals reuniting on multiple stages in recent months, fans may be hoping for another surprise appearance from Vybz Kartel when Mavado takes the stage in Toronto, although no guest appearance has been confirmed.

The show is promoted by Skip2Fame, the entertainment company behind previous Canadian performances by international stars including Davido and Sexyy Red.
