Jesse Royal heading back to Brazil

Grammy-nominated reggae singer Jesse Royal is set to headline a fundraising festival, “Yaad Fest,” in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 20, in support of Jamaicans affected by the devastating Hurricane Melissa. All proceeds from the event will go directly toward relief efforts.

Royal, who has become a popular figure in Brazil’s reggae scene in recent years, will lead a lineup that also features fellow Jamaican artist Zac Jone$.

The singer will return to the South American country for four shows, marking his second tour of Brazil this year, following a successful five-show run in April. Performances are scheduled for São Paulo, Brasília, and more.

His latest album, No Place Like Home, is currently among Billboard’s leading predictions for the top five nominees in the Best Reggae Album category.
