Grammy-winning, multi-platinum global superstar Tyla is set to make her long-awaited Caribbean debut, headlining the 2025 edition of Tipsy Music Festival (TMF) in Barbados. Her performance on Sunday, July 20—Day 2 of the TMF All White Experience—will take place during the island’s iconic Crop Over season.
Tyla has captivated global audiences with her signature fusion of R&B, Amapiano, and Pop, crafting a sound that is uniquely her own. Her self-titled debut album, TYLA, became the highest-charting project by an African female soloist in Billboard 200 history. The triple-platinum hit “Water” not only catapulted her into global stardom but also earned her a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and a Grammy Award for ‘Best African Music Performance’ in 2024.
Since then, Tyla has earned nominations at the BET Awards, MTV VMAs, American Music Awards, and MTV EMAs, solidifying her status as one of the most influential new voices in global music.
Her upcoming appearance at TMF 2025 is poised to elevate the festival’s legacy and redefine live entertainment in the Caribbean.“We are proud to welcome Tyla to the TMF stage for the very first time,” said TMF organiser Zamani Moodie. “She is one of the most exciting global voices of this generation—a trailblazer whose energy, artistry, and cultural relevance make her a perfect match for the Caribbean’s most dynamic summer festival.”
Joining her for the weekend celebration on Saturday night are soca legend Machel Montano, regional icons Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons, along with other surprise guests, promising an unforgettable start to the TMF festivities.
