Rising dancehall sensation Elle Jhenaé is setting her sights on the international stage with her new single “Take Me Down.”

Produced by Sean God, whose real name is Sean Wright, a longtime collaborator of dancehall star Bayka, the track highlights Elle Jhenaé’s versatility and sensual, smooth vocals.

Blending the rhythmic pulse of dancehall with the soulful textures of R&B, the single reinforces her willingness to experiment sonically as she carves out her place among dancehall’s emerging talents.

"My style is a balance of R&B’s intimacy and dancehall’s raw energy. I write from real experiences, so my music feels both personal and universal. It’s soft yet powerful, creating a confident, unforgettable vibe."

Reflecting on her influences, she pointed to R&B legends including Ashanti, Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, Kehlani, Summer Walker, Giveon, John Legend, Alicia Keys, and H.E.R., as well as Chris Brown’s artistry. "In dancehall, icons such as Spice, Tanya Stephens, Lady Saw, Alkaline, Mavado, Aidonia, and Vybz Kartel shaped my understanding of authenticity and stage presence,” she added.

Born Jhenae Simpson, she has been making her first notable strides in recent years, attracting the attention of industry heavyweights such as Romeich Entertainment, DJ Frass, and artists like Skeng. "Recognition from major industry figures has been motivating and affirming, showing me my work is resonating. Looking ahead, I’d love to collaborate with Kranium, Jada Kingdom, Burna Boy for that Afro-dancehall fusion, and ultimately Chris Brown for a R&B-dancehall crossover moment."
