Dancehall star Ding Dong is set to release his debut album, "From Ding Dong to World Ding", on Friday, May 2.
After more than 20 years in the game, he’s finally delivering his first full-length project. The 13-track album is led by “Jump Street" featuring Skeng and Kaka Highflames, which has already premiered, and includes several major collaborations.
Known widely as "The World Ding," the deejay enlists an impressive lineup of features. One standout is “Di New Pull Up” with Skillibeng — a modern revamp of Ding Dong’s classic hit “Badman Forward Badman Pull Up.” The album also includes “Who She Choose” featuring Stalk Ashley, “Glory” with Vanessa Bling, “Step” alongside Afro B, and “Collab” with Govana. Previously released single “WYFT” features Popeye Caution and Grammy-nominated rap icon Busta Rhymes.
Production credits include Ricky Blaze, Khalfani, Felva, Dunwell, and Black Spyda — who also mixed and mastered the entire project.
“Together, we're not just making music,” Ding Dong shared. “We’re creating vibes that uplift the dancehall scene.” The 44-year-old, born Kemar Ottey, made the statement ahead of his exclusive album launch in Jamaica on Thursday evening, following a private listening session in New York last weekend.
