Rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was reportedly hospitalized over the weekend after suffering a head injury while serving a federal prison sentence in New Jersey, according to TMZ.

The outlet initially reported the incident on Monday, with further details emerging on Wednesday suggesting that the injury stemmed from an alleged prison altercation involving notorious Jamaican drug kingpin Christopher “Dudus” Coke.

According to TMZ, the reported confrontation allegedly arose from tensions over claims that Combs had been getting fellow inmates into trouble.

An ambulance reportedly departed the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix around 1 a.m. Saturday, transporting Combs for medical attention. Sources familiar with the incident told TMZ that he was conscious and speaking when he returned to the facility before sunrise.

The injury is not believed to be life-threatening. However, the circumstances surrounding the alleged altercation remain unclear, and no official confirmation of the incident has been released.
