Dancehall Newcomer KeemoXG Makes Chart Impact With Debut EP XG for President

The August Town native’s first project earns chart placements across several territories, led by a No. 2 showing on the Reggae Albums chart in Turks & Caicos

Kingston newcomer KeemoXG is making an early international impact with his debut EP, XG for President, released August 21 via Dethwrld Records and Catalog Music Group.

The project charted across several territories, highlighted by a No. 2 showing on the Reggae Albums chart in Turks & Caicos Islands, where it also reached No. 12 overall. It also earned chart placements in Ukraine, Finland, Guyana, Hungary, Belgium, Italy and Jamaica.

The Turks & Caicos Islands numbers stand out in particular, with XG for President reaching No. 2 on the Reggae Albums chart and No. 12 across all genres, further highlighting the project’s international reach and marking a strong opening statement for the emerging artiste.

KeemoXG comes up out of August Town, Kingston - a community with a deep and storied musical lineage, having shaped artists who built their careers on grit, self-command, and an unwillingness to be counted out. That environment shows in how KeemoXG carries himself on record: assured, deliberate, and clearly building toward something bigger than a single hit.

He's spent the past year stacking a run of singles that built real buzz on the ground before this EP ever dropped including “Potion,” “Birkin,” “Visa,” “RIFF RAFF” and “Not for Sale” featuring Krissonic, laying the groundwork for XG for President.

Leading the EP is “Potion,” his collaboration with AyoDaze and producer ProdByWalkz, which has emerged as the project’s most-streamed track.

KeemoXG sees it as a promising beginning to his journey.

AyoDaze, who also serves as KeemoXG’s manager, has been a consistent presence across his catalogue and a key part of shaping his melodic, modern dancehall sound.
