Reggae star Chronixx has previewed the tracklist for his long-awaited upcoming album Exile, which is set for release on Friday, October 10, coinciding with his 33rd birthday.
Speculation about the album’s official release had been rife in recent days, with reports suggesting it would drop on Chronixx’s birthday, which was later confirmed.
The 17-track project includes the title track, “Exile,” as well as “Survivor,” and “I Know You Feeling,” among others. While details surrounding the album remain limited, Chronixx performed several of the tracks during his set at Reggae Land in the UK this past August.
Music insiders, fellow artists, and fans across social media have reacted with excitement to the reveal. Among them was producer Di Genius, who simply commented, “Ready,” while Stalk Ashley shared, “Nowww.”
Fans also chimed in: “Chronixx needs to stop playing with us,” one wrote. “Chronixx about to drop a 17-track album .we were starving,” added another.
The Jamaican artist first announced the project during that Reggae Land performance, reigniting anticipation among supporters who have been eagerly awaiting new music since his acclaimed 2017 album Chronology.
That album was nominated for Best Reggae Album at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in 2018, sold over 100,000 units in the U.S., and spent more than 40 weeks in the Top 10 of the iTunes Reggae Albums Chart.
