CB Foods donates to Linstead Hospital to promote community health ahead of the Tru-Juice 5K’s 10th anniversary, with CEO Mrs. Camile Wallen-Panton noting, “Support like this makes a real difference.”

Linstead Hospital receives support from CB Foods

In the lead-up to the 10th anniversary of the Tru-Juice 5K Run/Walk, CB Foods Ltd., the distribution company behind the household brand CB Chicken, has reaffirmed its commitment to community wellness with a direct donation of CB Chicken to Linstead Public Hospital, the official beneficiary of the event.

The donation, handed over on Tuesday, May 20, underscores CB Foods’ mission to make a meaningful impact through nutrition-based community support. This contribution supports the hospital’s kitchen operations by ensuring patients and staff receive nutritious, high-quality protein meals that promote recovery and daily well-being—without compromising taste.

“This initiative is rooted in our CB Chicken mantra—Eat Better. Live Better. Love Jamaica,” said Samantha Fisher, Assistant Brand Manager at CB Foods. “We believe that safe, high-quality protein does more than support good nutrition—it helps people feel stronger, more energized, and simply better overall. We’re proud to support the hospital in such a meaningful way, especially as part of this year’s Tru-Juice 5K milestone.”

Mrs. Camile Wallen-Panton, CEO of Linstead Public Hospital, expressed her gratitude for the donation. “Support like this makes a real difference. CB Foods is a trusted supplier to many institutions, so we welcome the opportunity to partner in this way. This donation will allow us to redirect other resources to areas of need and ensure the hospital remains sustainable for a longer period.”

The partnership between CB Foods and Trade Winds Citrus Ltd., organizers of the Tru-Juice 5K, is built on shared values: community upliftment, healthy living, and social impact. According to Keresha Ferguson, Marketing Coordinator at Trade Winds, this collaboration goes well beyond event-day involvement.

“CB Foods’ support adds depth and heart to the Tru-Juice 5K. They’ve helped elevate this from a run/walk into a platform for meaningful change,” Ferguson noted. “We share a deep-rooted partnership within the food and beverage industry, grounded in a purpose-driven approach that supports the core needs of our country—like investing in hospitals and community well-being. CB Foods’ contribution, both on race day and through this hospital donation, is a true reflection of shared values.

"Support like this makes a real difference. CB Foods is a trusted supplier to many institutions, so we welcome the opportunity to partner in this way. This donation will allow us to redirect other resources to areas of need and ensure the hospital remains sustainable for a longer period.”

Ferguson added, “We were proud to stand alongside CB Foods during the handover at Linstead Hospital. Their generosity speaks volumes about the kind of partnership we’ve built—one rooted in care, community, and commitment. What we’re doing together isn’t just for one day; it’s about creating long-term impact.”

Now in its second year as an official partner of the Tru-Juice 5K, CB Foods has a long-standing relationship with Tru-Juice that extends far beyond this event. Their work together on initiatives like PAN has helped build stronger communities and empower small food entrepreneurs.

“Tru-Juice has been a proud PAN partner for over five years,” added Samantha Fisher. “Together, we’ve empowered our PAN People, celebrated our love for CB Chicken, and paired it with real Jamaican juice that brings us closer as a community. Our partnership is built on shared purpose and a deep commitment to helping communities thrive through donations, training, job opportunities, and meaningful food experiences.

"We were proud to stand alongside CB Foods during the handover at Linstead Hospital. Their generosity speaks volumes about the kind of partnership we’ve built—one rooted in care, community, and commitment."

The Tru-Juice 5K Run/Walk returns next month, with proceeds going to Linstead Public Hospital. For CB Foods, it’s another opportunity to turn their brand promise into real-world impact—one meal, one moment, and one community at a time.

The welcome bonus at 20Bet bet live was a great incentive to join, and thankfully the quality of the service matched the offer. Their casino section is loaded with options—slots, card games, jackpots—you name it. I also like that they support a wide range of payment methods, including crypto. The site runs smoothly even on mobile, which is a big plus for me. All in all, a solid platform for online gaming.
