Cardi B’s highly anticipated sophomore album Am I The Drama? is already rewriting history. Within hours of its release, th LP was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), making it the first and fastest album by a female artist in U.S. history to reach that milestone.

The album features her blockbuster singles, the nine-times Platinum “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, and “Up” certified five-times Platinum—both of which helped propel the project past one million album-equivalent units. The RIAA confirmed the certification on social media, sealing another record-breaking moment in Cardi’s career.

With this Platinum milestone, she joins Lady Gaga as the only female artists to have a 2025 album certified Platinum by the RIAA.

The wins didn’t stop there. Am I The Drama? also became the fastest album by a female rapper this decade to reach #1 on U.S. iTunes - just 30 minutes after release, surpassing Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 (51 minutes).
