Cardi B breaks her silence on her BZR WKND Jamaica withdrawal, apologizing to fans and insisting she did everything possible to make the October 18 performance happen

Cardi B speaks out on BZR WKND cancellation

American rapper Cardi B has spoken out about the reason behind her last-minute cancellation of her highly anticipated performance at BZR WKND Jamaica, where she was scheduled to headline at Kingston’s National Stadium on October 18.

“I wasn’t really going to address this because I feel like the statement was enough, but clearly it wasn’t,” the Grammy-winning rapper said.

“The reason why I canceled so late is because when I say I tried my best and I waited for things to get in place and together, but it didn’t,” she explained.

The “AH HA” rapper also dismissed speculation that her withdrawal was due to low ticket sales or scheduling conflicts, while apologizing to her Jamaican fans who had been looking forward to her performance.

The concert was expected to be one of the biggest attractions of the four-day festival, with Cardi B originally set to make her first headline appearance at a Caribbean stadium.

Her representatives confirmed the cancellation on Thursday, October 8, just ten days before the scheduled performance, directing fans to event organizers for updates on the festival and ticketing.
