Buju Banton set to headline Hard Rock Live in Atlantic City
Legendary Jamaican artist Buju Banton is set to return to New Jersey for the first time since 2009, headlining Hard Rock Live at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on September 12—marking his return to the state after more than 15 years.
Backed by the Shiloh Band, Buju will take the stage at the 7,500-capacity venue, joined by special guests including Jesse Royal and more.
As one of the most impactful artists in Jamaican music history, Banton has had a standout year on stage, delivering commanding performances at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas as part of the BET Experience, the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles—his first show in the City of Angels in over 20 years—and the ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans.
Last year, the Grammy-winning legend launched his Overcomer Tour, selling out six major venues and drawing over 36,000 attendees across back-to-back shows at Long Island’s UBS Arena. He also packed 19,000 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and headlined stops at Amerant Bank Arena in Florida, Amalie Arena in Tampa, and Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
Banton has just marked a major milestone, surpassing 300 million solo streams on Spotify—currently at 304 million, with his total streams including features reaching 513.6 million.
