Dancehall icon Bounty Killer will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 3rd annual Caribbean Music Awards, celebrating his monumental impact across generations of music. The Caribbean Music Awards will also honor soca pioneer Super Blue and acclaimed producer Kerwin Du Bois. The event is set to take place on Thursday, August 28 , at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn

Dancehall icon Bounty Killer will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, celebrating his monumental impact across generations of music.
The recognition comes just ahead of his long-awaited return to the U.S. stage after 15 years, with a major performance set for July 5 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center as part of the Reggae Fest concert series—further cementing his legacy as one of dancehall’s most influential figures.
Austin "Super Blue" Lyons, the visionary behind the iconic "jump and wave" soca style made famous with his 1991 hit “Get Something and Wave,” will be honored with the prestigious Calypso Honors for his lasting influence on the genre. Trinidadian soca producer and artist Kerwin Du Bois will also be honored with the Producer Honor for his outstanding impact on Caribbean music through his creativity, versatility, and consistent excellence in the studio.
The 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, dubbed “Caribbean Music’s Biggest Night,” returns for its third annual staging on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. The event will feature over 200 nominees across more than 40 categories. Masicka and Shenseea lead the nominations with seven each, while Patrice Roberts and Kes follow closely with six apiece. Notable artists such as Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Nailah Blackman, Chronic Law, and Kranium have also made their mark, each securing five nominations.
