German manufacturer Audi has unveiled a first look at its R26 Concept, offering an early preview ahead of its official Formula 1 debut in January 2026.

“The concept showcases the colour scheme and design direction of our 2026 F1 car, which will be fully revealed in January,” Audi said in an official statement.\

Audi officially took over the Sauber team, previously BMW Sauber, earlier this year. The R26 Concept was launched during an event in Munich on Wednesday, with the full car unveiling set for early 2026, followed by F1’s winter testing in Barcelona in February.

The R26 Concept carries Audi’s classic racing colours - titanium, Audi red, and carbon black - paying tribute to the brand’s motorsport heritage across rallying, Le Mans, and Formula E. The geometric livery design incorporates the iconic four rings in red, adding a bold visual identity to the upcoming F1 challenger.

The team’s current drivers, Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto and German Nico Hülkenberg will remain with the squad next season.
