Dancehall star delivers sold-out New York headline show, drops third studio album NPT which dominates the Apple Music Jamaica chart, and lands a Billboard Reggae Albums entry - earning Kaboom Magazine’s Artiste of the Month for March

Dancehall star Alkaline returned to the spotlight in March with a dominant run - delivering two major headline shows and a chart-impacting album release that reaffirmed his global standing.


Alkaline take his own brand New Rules Festival under CJ Milan's Reggae Fest to sold out his first headline show at the New York’s most iconic stages at Barcalys center, becoming the youngest dancehall artiste to achieve that milestone.


However, the moment doesnt stops here as the Man Himself as he populray known as, took the moment to drops his thirdt studio album NPT, the first from 2021. which immedarlty makes impact in the charts occupinng multiple spots on Apple Music chart in Jamaica with tracks like “Graduate,” “Key Man,” “Sacrifice,”Different Story,” and “As A Matter Of Fact,” In fact, all 16 tracks from the album have entered the Top 20, highlighting its strong impact locally.



Throughout his career, Alkaline has cemented his status as a leading force in dancehall, building a catalogue that reflects key stages of his evolution. From his breakout debut New Level Unlocked to Top Prize, his journey has spanned far - and now, the “Key Man” deejay continues to strengthen the lane he’s carved out in the genre.


The album also secured his third entry on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, debuting at No. 10, making it the first project of 2026 to enter the prestigious chart.


Closing out the month, Alkaline returned to Kingston to headline the Up The Line event, delivering another high-energy performance that capped off a standout March.

With NPT continuing to build momentum, the deejay earns Kaboom Magazine’s Artiste of the Month honors for March.
