Dancehall luminary Alkaline surprise-drops his NPT Album, catching the moment following his first-ever headline performance at Barclays Center, where he sold out the venue as the youngest dancehall artiste to do so.
The 16-track project features previously released singles “No Emotions” and “Key Man,” alongside a full slate of new tracks that explore a range of themes, from addressing doubters to motivation, while also catering to his female fanbase. On the production side, he taps longtime collaborators such as Armz House Records, Sponge Music, Sortout Records, Autobamb Records ,BlackSpyda Records and more.
NPT becomes Alkaline’s third studio album, following his debut New Level Unlocked from 2016 and Top Prize, which was released in 2021.
Earlier this year, the deejay first hinted at the project while announcing a winter release and launching his official digital platform, the Alkaline Musiq App, aimed at strengthening his connection with fans across Jamaica and the diaspora. At the time, he shared, “This album is a reflection of life in its many forms - the highs, the lows, the lessons, and the growth. Every track represents a different chapter, coming together as one complete story.”
The rollout arrives following his debut headline show at Barclays Center on Saturday, March 21, where he brought his flagship New Rules event to New York under CJ Milan’s Reggae Fest brand.
He will set headline the Up To The Line After Champs event on March 28, 2026, at the Lawn on Constant Spring Road in Kingston.
