Dancehall artiste 450’s recent single “World On Fire” has amassed over 1 million views within just a few days of its release, continuing the artiste’s growing momentum on the international circuit.

The single quickly gained traction across the Caribbean, reaching #1 on the iTunes chart in Bermuda, climbing to #2 in Trinidad, and debuting at #5 in Jamaica. In under a week, the track surpassed one million streams while also breaking into TikTok’s Top 20 trending sounds.

As the track gains traction, longtime collaborator and producer Week Day opened up about the creative process behind the song and reflected on 450’s artistic growth and evolving sound.

“Wanted listeners to know that they’re not alone there are others out there that can relate to the pain they’re feeling, or relate to a situation they might be in,” said producer Week Day about the concept behind the record.

Speaking on the importance of creating music with worldwide reach, the producer emphasized the value of emotional connection across cultures. “Global appeal is very important. You want to make music that everyone can relate to. You want people to be able to connect no matter their country, race, ethnicity.. you just want the music to connect once they hear it,” he explained.

“World On Fire” surpassed the 1 million-view mark in less than a week, something Week Day believes reflects listeners gravitating more toward emotional and reflective music.

“The streams have passed 1 million in less than a week so I definitely think they’re gravitating towards reflective music. I think everybody is going through something in life right now and some people are afraid to show it or say it and reflective music helps them, it’s like an escape,” he added. “Some people will repost lyrics to a song that describe exactly what they’re going through instead of just saying what they’re going through.”

Beyond the track’s success, 450 continues pushing forward with major international opportunities ahead. The dancehall artiste is set for a string of overseas performances, including 450 Live NYC on May 23, Best of the Best Music Fest in Miami on May 24, and Sunsplash Festival in the Netherlands on July 5, as he continues expanding his presence on the international stage.
