Yaksta continues his recent run

Recording artiste Yaksta, also known as Bush Lawd, has long been recognized for music deeply rooted in consciousness, spirituality, and cultural reflection. But with his latest single “Roar,” the artiste says he is stepping into an even more personal creative space.

Now, after receiving praise from several industry figures - including producer DJ Mac, who described the track as the “Song of the Year” - the single has officially surpassed 1 million views on YouTube just two months after its release.

“The reason why I do music? I can’t give you a fabricated answer. Music is just me. It’s something that claims you before you claim it. It’s a calling, it’s purpose. It is I,” he shared.

The deejay has also been enjoying momentum with another release, “The Return,” while continuing to build anticipation for his upcoming album, set for release in May 2026.

With his authentic storytelling, spiritual themes, and evolving artistry, Yaksta continues to position himself at the forefront of a new generation of reggae voices.
