From as early as 4 AM, the streets of Downtown Kingston were alive with excitement as hundreds pof atrons made their way to Port Spectrum for the debut staging of the Xodus Wet Music Festival on Saturday, October 4, 2026.

The jouvert-inspired event made a splash onto the carnival scene, drenching revellers in paint, powder, water, foam, and pure energy. As the sun rose above the Kingston skyline, the crowd was fully immersed in the high-energy cooler fete-proving once again why Xodus Carnival remains the gold standard for carnival experiences in Jamaica.

With dynamic performances from soca heavyweights Bunji Garlin and GBM Nutron, the energy reached fever pitch as they delivered crowd favorites like “Soaking Wet,” “Calypso,” and “Scene.” Bunji’s commanding set, featuring hits such as “Differentology,” “Famalay,” “Truck on D Road,” and “Big Bad Soca,” kept the crowd in constant motion.

Supported by steady musical selections from a lineup of top local and international DJs with the likes of Walshy Fire, Rush 1 & Franco, Zess & Rico the DJ, and others, the tempo stayed high and the energy even higher, as patrons partied their way into the sunrise.

“I’m always happy to be at an Xodus event, Xodus is family. WET Success was madness in the best way. From the moment I touched the stage, the energy was unmatched! Pure vibes, pure love, pure soca. Jamaica showed up and showed out as always! Big up to Xodus for inviting me to be part of something this epic. First staging, and it already feels like a winner!” said GBM Nutron, fresh off the Xodus Wet stage.

“The first staging of Xodus Wet exceeded every expectation we had. The energy, the crowd, the music, it all came together in a way that truly showcased the spirit of carnival. For the past 6 months, we set out to create a high-impact, immersive experience, and judging by the response, we delivered just that. This is just the beginning for Xodus Wet, and for the 2026 Xodus Carnival season,” expressed Pierre Goubault, CEO of Xodus Carnival.

The Xodus Wet Music Festival is poised to become an annual highlight of Jamaica’s carnival calendar following its spectacular debut.
