Cinematographer Hakeem Simmonds of DreamX Production continues to make his mark with a distinctive visual style on every project he touches. Based in the U.S., the Jamaican-born creative has been steadily gaining recognition in recent years for his consistent work across the dancehall scene.

His latest standout effort is the music video for Skippa’s track “HBC” featuring Mani Sparta, part of the artist’s recently released 4 Pack EP. The visuals once again highlight Simmonds' eye for detail and storytelling through the lens.

“DreamX Production was born out of passion and perseverance,” shared Simmonds, who migrated from Jamaica and now commands growing influence in New York’s dancehall visual space.

His growing portfolio includes work with veterans like Gyptian and Richie Stephens, as well as new-generation stars such as Chronic Law, Skippa, and Mugs.

“I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had working with them,” he added. “It means a lot to know that a yute from Jamaica can come here and share my vision through the lens.”

From Jamaica to New York and everywhere in between, DreamX continues to captivate through Hakeem Simmonds’ creative vision brought to life behind the camera.
