The dancehall artiste leads the August 29 event at Plantation Cove as Midas Entertainment kicks off its summer finale weekend

Vanessa Bling leads sophisticated Summer End Beach Party Line-Up

Dancehall artiste Vanessa Bling is set to headline Sophisticated: The Summer End Beach Party, as Midas Entertainment and 8 Rivaz Ultra Lounge prepare to close out the summer season at Plantation Cove in St. Ann on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Vanessa Bling will lead the entertainment line-up, bringing her distinctive style, catalogue of dancehall favourites and energetic stage presence to the popular venue. Music will also come from Trippple X, Bishop Escobar and Illusion Sound, who will keep the party moving with a mix of dancehall classics, current hits and crowd favourites.

Patrons arriving early will enjoy mixed drinks included with admission between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The event is designed to transition from a laid-back afternoon beach-party atmosphere into a high-energy dancehall experience as the evening unfolds.

“Sophisticated is built around the natural rhythm of the evening. Before sunset, patrons can settle into the setting, enjoy the music and make the most of the hospitality. After dark, the energy rises and the event becomes a full dancehall experience. That shift is what gives the event its identity and allows us to offer two distinct moods in one night,” said Stefan Ebanks, Director of Midas Entertainment.

Sophisticated will kick off Midas Entertainment’s Jamaica summer finale weekend, followed by Capleton Encore Live: Culture Rising at Plantation Cove on Sunday, August 30, featuring Capleton, Nesbeth and acclaimed saxophonist Dean Fraser.

The two events will offer contrasting experiences, with Sophisticated delivering a dancehall beach party before Encore Live closes the weekend with a celebration of reggae and Jamaican culture.
