Valiant drops debut project under Sony Music UK
Dancehall sensation Valiant has officially dropped his highly anticipated debut project “Prove Them Wrong,” released under Sony Music UK through Epic Records.
The 11-track EP is led by the February release “Whole Lotta,” and includes new songs like “Selfish” and “Ugly,” alongside previous fan favorites such as “Mad Out” and “Bubble Gum.”
The singjay features collaborations with rising dancehall star 450 on the title track “Prove Them Wrong,” while Tommy Lee Sparta brings the energy on “Rapid Up.” Haitian-American R&B singer Fridayy joins Valiant on the emotionally charged “Advantage.”
“This project means a lot to me. Mi want give them the best, most versatile version of me, and it dropped at the perfect time in my career,” Valiant told Kaboom Magazine. “Mi had some big hits for the ladies last year, but this year, we’re focusing on both reality and the ladies. This is the complete package. Prove Them Wrong,” added the singjay, who hails from the Mannings Hill area of St. Andrew.
Valiant (born Raheem Bowes) has made an undeniable impact on the music scene since 2022, finding continued success with hits through to 2025. With the release of Prove Them Wrong just days before his performance at the City Splash Festival in the UK on May 26, the EP is set to cement his international breakthrough. He’s also scheduled for additional shows in London and will headline the Sips Cooler event in New York on August 23.
