Tanzie, the daughter of reggae icons Tony Rebel and Queen Ifrica, is making waves with her latest track, "Mary Jane", which has exploded on TikTok with over 3 million uses so far.

Teaming up with renowned dancehall producer Countree Hype, Tanzie blends smooth vocals with sharp rhymes and infectious flow. “It started on TikTok and gained traction, then we brought it to the studio to record it properly,” said Countree Hype. The official track dropped 3 days ago, with a music video planned as well.

Tanzie, given name Tanzania Barrett, made her major debut at Rebel Salute and has since delivered standout performances, including the 2024 New Year’s event at the Kingston Waterfront.

With musical roots from her parents, Tanzie’s rise has been expected, and now, and now, her moment is clearly arriving.
