Dancehall artiste Tommy Lee Sparta reunites with longtime collaborator, acclaimed producer Dwayne Parkinson, popularly known as Damage Musiq, for a powerful new single and video titled “My Life.”
The track stands out as one of Tommy Lee’s most emotional releases in recent years, as he reflects on faith, hardship, and survival. Delivered with raw conviction, “My Life” captures both personal struggles and the collective pain of a city rebuilding.
It featured on Tommy Lee’s Spiritual Warfare EP, shines a spotlight on his hometown of Montego Bay, which recently endured significant damage following the devastating passage of Hurricane Melissa. Backed by the Mayor of Montego Bay, proceeds from the release are set to support local community programs aimed at rebuilding and recovery efforts in the city.
Filmed on location in Montego Bay, the visual captures the raw energy, faith, and everyday struggles that shape the deejay’s journey. The connection between Damage and Tommy Lee Sparta runs deep, with both hailing from Mobay. Among their most successful collaborations is “Blessings” from the Conquest Paradise Riddim, which has amassed over 81 million combined views across audio and video on YouTube since its 2019 release. The single became a street anthem that year, dominating airwaves and party playlists.
Their catalogue together also includes notable tracks such as “Savage Life” from 2017, “Procreator” (2020), and “Power Struggle” from 2021, another successful collaboration with Teejay.
Damage Musiq has also been active on the production front, recently contributing to Popcaan’s latest album Nothing Without God with the track “Immortal Life,” another song that highlights the spirit and resilience of Montego Bay.
