Teejay added to the Reggae Sumfest lineup, 'I Am Chippy' EP in the making

The dancehall star will be headlining his hometown-renowned festival with his ‘I Am Chippy' EP set to release in the summer

It can’t be denied that 2023 is a fruitful year for dancehall star Teejay. After reaping resounding success with the summer’s anthem, 'Drift', which has already amassed over 20 million views & streamings on various platforms, the Uptop Boss has just been added to the star-studded line-up of the renowned festival, Reggae Sumfest set to take place in his hometown, Montego Bay on 16-22 July. Teejay is about to be one of the lead performers in the festival as currently one of its most anticipated.


Some other local names that will grace the stage of the renowned event is the dancehall leading force, Tommy Lee Sparta, who is returning to the big stage for the first time since his release from incarceration, the fast rising Mobay-native artiste, Topmann and the female dancehall artiste, also from Mobay, Moyann will also grace the main stage.


Having recently signed to a major American label, Warner Music, Teejay is now focused on his upcoming project 'I Am Chippy' which is an 8-track EP from which he has already revealed a highly anticipated collaboration with dancehall star Skillibeng.



The project, which is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2023, will also offer the smash hit 'Drift' while the artiste promises an uncompromising climb in his lyrical game, more diversity, and expanding internationally.


Teejay (born Timoy Jones) got his nickname 'Chippy' from his childhood days in Montego Bay and decided to dedicate the debut project to his journey that will also be wrapped with a top-level production.
