T.O.K. Brings the Full Live Experience to Brooklyn With 'My Crew, My Dawgs'

Dancehall quartet T.O.K. set to return to Brooklyn

Acclaimed dancehall quartet T.O.K. is set to headline "My Crew, My Dawgs," a live band concert on Friday, August 7, at Crown Hill Theatre in Brooklyn, New York.

Named after the group's acclaimed 2001 debut album, My Crew, My Dawgs, the concert marks the first stop of a three-city Northeast tour promoted by Jamrock Starz owner Richard "Shams" Browne. Following the Brooklyn show, T.O.K. will continue on to Connecticut and Boston.

Although several New York-based acts will appear as supporting performers, the event is designed as a full-length T.O.K. concert, giving fans the opportunity to experience the quartet's extensive catalogue of hits backed by a live band.

"Brooklyn only got a glimpse of T.O.K when they performed at Reggae Fest. With My Crew, My Dawgs, fans will finally get the full T.O.K experience. No rush - just hit after hit performed with the energy that only a live band can bring," Browne said.

Preparations for the event are progressing smoothly, according to Browne, despite the usual demands of promoting live shows. "Promoting events has its challenges, but we're looking good," he added.

With a career spanning more than two decades, T.O.K. has established itself as one of dancehall's most renowned groups, delivering a string of international hits including "Footprints," "Gal You Ah Lead," and many more since the early 2000s. Known for seamlessly blending dancehall, reggae and signature four-part harmonies, the quartet has built a devoted global following and remains one of the genre's most enduring and influential acts.
